HRH Crown Prince Frederik will at the Women Deliver conference in Copenhagen deliver a speech on the role of sport in securing gender equality and women's rights.
The Olympic movement as well as sport and physical activity play an important role in promoting gender equality and increasing girls and women's opportunities in the areas such as health, legal rights, education and business.
HRH Crown Prince Frederik will, as a member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) enter the podium Wednesday morning 18 May at 7.50 at the side event "GIVING WOMEN AND GIRLS A SPORTING CHANCE", co-organized by the IOC and the National Olympic Committee and Sports Confederation of Denmark (NOC).

Press are invited to attend and cover the event, taking place in the Bella Center. Attending journalist will, after the conclusion of the side event have an opportunity to talk to NOC's President Niels Nygaard and the Chair of the IOC Women in Sport Commission, Lydia Nsekera. During such talks Niels Nygaard and Lydia Nsekera will be able to expand the role sport can, and do, play in reducing gender inequalities and as well as actions taken by both the IOC and NOC to promote gender equality in the world.
