Our work

We work in partnership with municipalities and the government to develop a political landscape to the benefit of our 9.000 local clubs.

The main tasks of The National Olympic Committee & Sports Confederation of Denmark are to make sure that the overall structural conditions for the 62 national sport federations’ 9.000 member clubs and 1,9 million individual members are as beneficial to them as possible. The National Olympic Committee & Sports Confederation of Denmark aim to, through political cooperation with politicians and public servants from municipalities and the government, ensure a stable financing of sport, create favorable conditions and promote sport as a priority for both local and national politicians.

Furthermore, The National Olympic Committee & Sports Confederation of Denmark works for the benefits of more than just our members. The National Olympic Committee & Sports Confederation of Denmark leads the quest for a more active school, with physical activity as a cornerstone of each school day and to harness the power of sport in offering activities at open public spaces and in socially and economically deprived neighborhoods for all to take part. In The National Olympic Committee & Sports Confederation of Denmark we understand, accept and cherish the unique role we, as one of the largest civil society organizations, can play in ensuring that sport in this country works for all despite social, economic or geographic background.
